Immediately after your baby is born, your body will already have milk ready for him to start breastfeeding. This first milk is called ‘colostrum’, will available for 2 days after birth, and the benefits of colostrum is substantial. It is thick, yellow tinged in colour and full of antibodies to boost baby’s ability to fight off infections. It is also rich in vitamins & protein and contains immunoglobulins that help in providing immunity to the baby. Over and above, it contains fat which is an important ingredient that helps your baby gain weight and feel full & sleepy at the end of a feed.
